|Manpower Ministry has the largest number of topics for debate on Ministries’ Budgets|

SINGAPORE: A total of 371 cuts have been filed on a range of topics when debate on the Committee of Supply begins in Parliament on Thursday for the various ministries and Organs of State.
And topping the ministries with the most number of subjects for discussion is the Manpower Ministry with 44 cuts filed under it.
Next comes the Education Ministry.
The Ministry of Law has the least number of topics filed under it.
Kicking off the debate will be the estimates for the Prime Minister’s Office where topics such as permanent residents and new citizens, the ageing population and the electoral boundaries review committee will be discussed.
The debate on the main and development estimates for the various ministries will go on till March 12. — CNA/vm
